The Ithaca Little Red Varsity Football Team is headed into the N.Y.S.P.H.S.A.A. Section IV, Class AA Tournament. Their first game is as follows:

Thursday night is a great night for football! Usually there is a college game and an NFL game on the tv. Before tuning into those games, stop down to Bredbenner Field inside Joe Moresco Stadium to watch the I.H.S. Little Red JV Team take on the Vestal Golden Bears. Kickoff is at 6pm and these young men are exciting to watch!

It is almost time for our winter sports season to begin at ICSD! We are looking forward to cheering on our basketball, hockey, wrestling, and boys swim programs at Ithaca.
Please be aware of the following important start dates/times/locations for each team:
Beginning Monday November 4th
JV/Varsity Girls Basketball 4 – 6PM Bliss Gym
JV Boys Basketball 4 – 6PM New Gym
Varsity Boys Basketball 6 – 8PM Bliss Gym
Modified, JV and Varsity Wrestling 4 – 6PM Wrestling Room
Varsity Boys Ice Hockey 4 – 6PM The Rink
Varsity Winter Cheerleading 5 – 7PM Multi-Purpose Room
Varsity Boys Swim 6 – 8:30 PM High School Pool
Starting November 11th
Varsity Girls Ice Hockey 5:15 PM Cass Park
*Some teams will be having tryouts. This generally will take place over the course of the first three days of practice.

Congratulations to Robin Tilton and the Ithaca High School Little Red Varsity Cheerleaders as they won the Spirit Award at this years S.T.A.C. Cheerleading Championships. These young athletes practice hard, are the backbone of the positive culture at IHS and do a great job of representing our football program, school and community. Congratulations….Proud of you!

Next up for the Little Red is a visit to Vestal’s **** Hoover Stadium on Friday, October 25th, 7pm start. There is an amazing history involved with this rivalry between the Golden Bears and the Little Red. Just ask anyone who witnessed games between the two schools during the late 60s and early 70s…..#EPIC. It was a rivalry known throughout every section of New York State. The 2013 Little Red will no doubt add to this great tradition.

Tonight, at Joe Moresco Stadium, we recognize our Senior Football players/cheerleaders for all of their dedication to our football program. IHS vs Elmira, 7pm kickoff. Come out and support the Little Red in their last home game of the 2013 season.

With three starters missing the first half vs Oneonta…the Little Red fell behind by 22 points. Once IHS was at full strength, they clawed back to within 5 points. This amazing comeback just ran out of time and lost 33-28.
