Lil’ Red Crushes Irondequoit

The Ithaca Lil Red boys’ Lacrosse team took on NY rival Irondequoit Tuesday, toppling yet another team on and adding to their 4-0 winning streak this season.  Little Red have been relentless when it comes to goals scored against the opposing teams, defeating the Eagles with a 15-8 victory.

Ithaca, now ranked #13 in DigitalSports National Lacrosse Rankings, had many key players that contributed to this high scoring game.  Three of these players included seniors, Emile Sassone-Lawless with four goals, alongside Jaedon Henderson and Eli Lasda with hat tricks.  Doug Biondi put two in the back of the net to complete the final score.

Ithaca took control from start to finish.  The team set up the first half evenly match, but were able to walk to the locker rooms with a 5-4 lead.  Again by the end of the third quarter, both teams were virtually even matched, but still the Lil Red held a 9-8 lead over the Irodequoit Eagles.  The fourth quarter was much different for the Lil Red; as they played stiffeling defense and relentless offense, capturing six goals not allowing any in their net.  Ithaca went on to take the 15-8 victory!

Ithaca looks forward to their next two games this week on Wednesday vs. Elmira (4/10)  & Friday vs. Corning (4/12).
