The Little Red’s defeat over Corning on Wednesday, December 4th was led by Steven Stage with 41 of the team’s 81 points. Leading the team with more than half of their total points, Stage finished the night with fourteen made field goals, four of which were three pointers, and went nine for ten from the foul line. Jelani Fontanez added 13 points while Sammy Meminger closely trailed with eight. As a team Ithaca shot 82.6% from the foul line. Ithaca also did a great job defensively of targeting Corning’s offensive threats by limiting each of Corning’s players to no more than 14 points and only allowing three players to reach double digits. The 14 point victory, with a final score of 81-67, gives Ithaca a great precedent to follow for their next game on Tuesday, December 10th at Union Endicott.
